The story follows Feyre, a mortal huntress whose life takes an unexpected turn when she was sentenced to live in the perilous and magical lands of the fae for a crime she committed. A Court of Mist and fury by sarah j. maas

A Court of Mist and Fury is the second book in Sarah J. Maas’s five-part series, following Feyre — cursebreaker, spellbreaker, and now reborn by the combined power of all seven High Lords as she battles her nightmares and rediscovers her strength.

This story is unexpected, unpredictable, and unforgettable. The author does a brilliant job of making every character feel relevant and captivating, pulling you deep into the magic and emotion of Prythian. It’s a world where fierce loyalty, love, family, and friendship collide with lies, deceit, and sacrifice, turning everyone’s world upside down.

It’s an easy yet enthralling read, one you could finish in a single day if you have the time. Love shines through everything, and the twists will keep you hooked until the last page. No spoilers, but trust me — once you start, you won’t want to stop!

The Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman

The Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman is a Sci-fi Romance trilogy centered on the long-standing hatred between werewolves and humans. Without giving too much away, the story is told from the perspective of a princess who has lived on both sides — in the human world and among the wolves. Through her eyes, we see a conflict shaped by politics like fighting for the throne, deceit, romance, complicated family dynamics, and the looming threat of war amongst wolves and with humans.

Overall, it’s a solid and enjoyable read. As a sci-fi lover, I appreciated the world-building, and the romantic elements were surprisingly well executed. It’s definitely worth picking up if you enjoy supernatural politics mixed with emotion and tension.

A fire in the sky by Sophie Jordan

A fire in the Sky written by Sophie Jordan is a sci-fi book with a mixture of romance and a mystery/thriller vibe. In a nutshell, it covers a long-standing war with humans vs. dragons, witches, and magic overall. Every other being was “extinct” or forced to hide because of humans hunting and killing them.

The book is written from multiple characters’ perspectives to share a diverse understanding of their individual feelings and to help increase the reader’s experience. One of the main protagonists is Tamsyn. She was found by the queen at 2 days old and was subjected to suffering in ways that became the norm for her. She left that fate through marriage and began a journey of the unexplained—new feelings, new desires, new skills/talents, and eventually a new her. Through lies, complicated relationships, threats, and betrayal, she is plunged into another fate. One where she finally found her kind, others like her, and in a strange twist of events, when she thought she lost her husband Fell—whom she has a fiery bond with—he also turned out to be just like her. What is she? Go and read to find out more.

I must say, I had only Book 1, and after completing it, I quickly ordered Book 2. I love a book that keeps me wanting more, and that’s exactly what this book does.
